Worst we can fall at the draft is 3 spots as opposed to one like previous years.

Rielly 100% core piece, Gardiner is on that tipping point of core/complimentary. He’s cheap enough and can play the PP and 20-22minutes. But he’s not amazing enough to not listen to offers for.

Rielly is the only current Leaf that should be “untradeable”. Now, players I want off the team come March:
Arcabello, Polak, Garbner, Winnik, Bernier, Parenteau, Cowen, Michalek (won’t happen), and maybe Kadri. Kadri depending on the return.

All the players above I want to take back 1yr high contracts. If you trade them all, the young guys have to come up and I don’t want to burn a yr off their ELC. I want Uncle Leo to be on the team next yr for sure. He’s a guy you need in a rebuild to push hard work. Even Polak is like that, but the price for a RH 4/5/6 D that’s on a cheap expiring contract would be pretty good for the Leafs. If they don’t trade him, I want him back with the Leafs as a very cheap option.

    C: Horvat, Trocheck
LW: J. Robertson, Byfield (C), Guenther
RW: Pavelski (C), Giroux (C), Svechnikov (LW)
D: Fox, Makar, Bouchard, Morrissey, Gudas
    Util: Meier (LW, RW)

I was going with most likely to get traded. I don't think lupul is getting dealt. Would like him gone tho. I've also liked greening since he's come. Wouldn't mind him sticking around for next yr then dealt then

Who knows. Maybe the Leafs wanted too much for him, especially after that Pirri deal went through. Maybe teams were nervous about his recent minor injuries.

    Nylander and kapanen on PP1.

They prolly only wanted to trade PAP if the price was fitting so they wouldnt insult him. They want him back next yr I think.

With all these older guys getting these 1 year deals, its going to be easy for contenders like Chicago and LA to snatch them up on the cheap!! PA has definitely had a really solid season..

Weird that they would start Sparks tonight. Figured Bernier would get a little run with Reimer traded. What do I know?

They said the AHL goalies will be playing "to see what they have and what they don't" or something like that. Bibeau will likely get starts in the NHL too. My guess is Bernier gets 50% of the starts depending on AHL/NHL schedule.

Pretty fast paced first period tho
