Its the middle of summer here and the last two weekend games were on a 7am. I haven't been able to watch many games. Good thing as the boys have not been able to put together the good stretch of wins they need. 5-1 against the Sabres and no points for G is surprising.

15 games in a row is quite impressive for a veteran NHL'er, let alone a rookie like Gostisbehere!!

I'm pretty pissed that Hextall decided not to keep Ryan White. He's great. That is exactly the kind of guy you want on the team. He signed a 1 year deal for a million bucks. He is definitely worth that. Makes no sense to me since they go and sign Weise straight away for 2.5m. Weise might be a marginal upgrade, but for an extra 1.5million? Not sure I like that idea. White was a good 4th line player.

I thought even with signing Weise, that they would still sign White..

Next topic: How the hell does Voracek make more money then Giroux in the next 4 seasons??

Agreed - the better news for fantasy GMs is that should mean we don't see him on the fourth line for the next four years!

We didn't think we would see him on the fourth line last season either...

Voracek was playing through a foot injury and the whole team stumbled out of the gate. I figure that 75 points is something he can reach, 80 though would be pushing it especially if he spends much time playing on the 2nd line again to help spread out the talent.

Anther 70-80 for me... Not sure I see him being a point per game but think he can be in the upper echelons of that
