lundy and marleau is defently an upgrade over hall and backstrom (min).. but i think i would stick with hall. i keep saying this with hall and tavares but its like trading them before they break out. imagine if you had stamkos in year one and you did this trade.. how upset would you be right now.
again they might not turn into stamkos and i dont they will but hall is a #1 overall for a reason. so yeah while i like this for the win now.. i think since your team plays 6f's and 2gs you are fine with letting hall sit on the bench for this year before he steps up his game.

Imagine if you had Patrik Stefan in year one and you did this trade ... how THRILLED you would be right now.
I'm not saying that Hall will turn into Stefan any more than newper is saying he'll turn into Stamkos. But right now he's still just pedigree and potential. As a huge Lundqvist fan, I'd be all over this trade. He's so consistently good year to year and still only 28. I think he's every bit the keeper that Hall is.
I offered it to the other owner via text message. He's thinking about it right now.
