Theres no way he can still be an assistant in Detroit, can he? Could and should be an opening there as well.
Nope he is gone. That was announced at the end of the regular season I believe.

I'm pretty sure he is still there (Detroit).

Maybe he stays until the draft?

    Article?

Yep. Granato finished out the season and now moves on to Wisconsin.

More writing on the wall that Howard's time in Detroit may be done.

The Wings may bring up Grand Rapids goalie development coach ( worked with Mrazek ) Jeff Salajko.

Also some names mentioned as associate coaches, Mike Yeo, Paul Maclean, Doug Houda and Todd Richards.

The #RedWings have hired Doug Houda as an assistant coach, signing their former pick (1984) to a three-year deal:

It's that Detroit system. They don't bring players up to the show until they really are over-ripe.

Interest in Radulov.....interested in Stamkos....could be an interesting summer for the Wings. Hopefully they can move Datsyuk contract

They definitely have to move some forwards around.

Report: Riley Sheahan and Red Wings agree to a 2-year, $4.15M deal. http://thesco.re/239S2DT
Was hoping for a step this past season but I don't think anyone on the team really took one.

Nyqvist has seemed to step it up when he is the focal point of a line. Tatar should be able to bounce back a little as well. I like them both to improve, but not huge breakouts.

Going to be interesting to see what they do in the coming week.

The signing of Miller makes me think Helm will hit the market. Miller is a great penalty killer, but not much else. However letting a player like Helm walk in hopes of signing someone else could really backfire on them.

Datsyuk, Quincey and Richards are off the books.....and if Helm goes too and add in Vitale that's $15.7 million freed up. Mrazek, Marchenko and Pulkkinen and Dekeyser are RFAs.

I also thinks it's a very good possibility either Tatar or Nyquist get dealt for some D help. Depends what they can do with FAs though.

Man that Franzen contract is killing them.
