Well the good news is Detroit is coming off 3 days off after the game in Vancouver.

So I'm hoping this extra day of rest will give him a boost. Otherwise I'm regretting not selling high when I had the chance. Great point raised about how many games he's used to playing. I didn't even think about that. D'oh.

I think his stock is still pretty high, but may not produce as much for rest of season.

just noticed this declining ice time trend... three games left this week on wings sched... if his ice time tomm does not bounce up, may use him as trade bait.

I dunno man, definitely think the time to sell high has long passed but you should definitely give it a shot.

When I look at his game log here are the things I see.

    - Declining TOI
    - Declining SOG
    - +/- going down.

If other managers see this it should make them wary of acquiring him too lol.

haha yes true, but another manager may hopefully overlook recent games and only look at seasonal stats. its easy to make brunner sound sexy.

I'm gunning for someone who is in rebuild mode anyway, so could work out for this season.

    via twitter:

Ansar Khan ‏@AnsarKhanMLive 1h Nyquist will arrive from Peoria, where he played last night. He'll be plugged into Eaves' spot on line with Andersson and Cleary.
http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index...._nyquis_2.html also an article on Nyquist and what he needs to do to stay up with the big team.

You know it's a weird season when the Wings play Anaheim back to back with BOTH games in Anaheim. Big weekend ahead and then playing the Yotes and Sharks next week are huge games.

As noted in the ramblings, the Wings are on the verge of signing Jared Coreau. Here is the article from Kuklas

Measuring stick game for the Red Wings tonight as they travel to Anaheim and face the Ducks. Viktor Fasth is in net for Anaheim, while Jimmy Howard is between the pipes for Detroit.

Ugggh...why even let the Ducks crowd get back into this game right now?? Ducks started two fights within the last minute of the 2nd with the Wings up 4-1. Hope it doesn't come back to bite them....

    And hey....there's Abdelkader....

My roommate, a big wings fan, had to work a closing shift tonight, missed the game. When he came home and I told him Abdelkader had scored a hat-trick and an assist...heck, almost 4 goals...he did what any sensible person would.

He laughed. Then he had a hard drink. Then I think I heard him crying a little. Here's hoping we don't have another huge long stretch of pointless Abdelkader in the top 6, or (worse) babcock sticking Cleary on Zetterberg's wing for the rest of the season in an attempt to re-create tonight's magic.
I think Franzen really helped give that line more respect, making both Datsyuk and Franzen targets, so Abs could sneak in there and do his thing. They were good goals.

Detroit came to play tonight, at least after the first few minutes of the 1st period. Here's hoping the rematch is just as fun.

What a game by Howard tonight. Fantastic 3rd period and what a clutch save in the dying seconds. ducks were all over them in the final frame and he kept them down....this one belongs to him.
