I don't hate them but I do think the "brilliancy" of their organization is overstated by most people. They have done a great job of using the tools they have been given and had a healthy dose of luck thrown in there with a Lidstrom cherry on top of it all.
They have had a good run but it's time for the old boys to move aside and let a new generation take over. Thanks for your time but go grab your lemonaid and talk about the good old days.
Back to back losses to LA and Van. They are in tough now to make the show this year.
We were never going to make it IMO, but it is nice jsut to play meaningful games this time of year and at least have a shot.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread the team should need something like 55 points to get into the playoffs. That's a general estimate of course the actual number of points is obviously dependent on what the other teams do but the team can still technically get there. With 39 points and 10 games left it's basically a win out scenario. They need 16 points the rest of the way so that's pretty much eight wins the rest of the way with this schedule:
@ Anaheim
vs. Phoenix
vs. Calgary
vs. Minnesota
@ Colorado
vs. Anaheim
vs. Anaheim
vs. Chicago
@ Minnesota
vs. Vancouver
It's highly doubtful but not impossible. Can't focus on anything but getting to 55 points so who cares what everyone else does. Just win.
Get some dman depth, I mean really, no real effort to do so in over a year is just brutal......
Has anyone watched Eberle play lately?
0 points and a -6 in his last 5 games????
What the hell is going on over there?
I might have to bench him this week for Yannik Hansen.
They're in tank mode the past 3-4 games.
I had thought this team was going to find a way in this year, but they just have sucked it up. I mean shoot, everyone should be beating Calgary and they didn't.

So they get another stone-age guy rooted to the organization and bring back one of the worst GMs in the league for an upper-level position? Don't they realize that Edmonton's old boys club is toxic and needs to be purged? This won't change anything, especially with Lowe at the top.Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Hearing Craig MacTavish is new EDM GM and Scott Howson will be taking over MacTavish's role. As per @TSNRyanRishaug, EDM fires Tambellini.

Sens have too many d-men going into next year. Would the Oilers be interested in Patrick Wiercioch or Mark Borowiecki?
