No idea. He has always wanted to come back to the Habs but I doubt management feels the same way.

has anyone heard the rumour of a possible Jordan Stall deal involving the 3rd pick? Seems like he could be a reasonable big front-line center they have always craved

I have not heard anything on this. Is there a link to support this?

I believe the team will use the pick. If Staal is traded to the Habs then it should come with an immediate contract extension.

Considering only yesterday Shero said he has no intention in trading Staal and is only focusing on getting him re-signed, I'd say that rumor you've heard is BS.

Montreal can be a wild place for rumours. Not Toronto bad, but still bad.

The Habs have announced their schedule for next season (http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/342401.html). A few things stand out. The season will not start on the road unlike in past years and the western tour during the holidays has been moved to the end of October. Excellent move on both counts. I've been pretty vocal about not liking either of these things so I'm glad to see someone stepped up and had it changed.

None of it will make a difference, as the lockout will skew everything.

It would look stupid to have another lockout, but it's certainly possible. The players are doing fine under this system. The owners have more issues on their side.

Solid draft by Montreal through the first few rounds.

    Good to see.

I thought Montreal made out like bandits this year. They are my early "winners" of the draft. I know people like to say it's too early to tell, which is true, but I liked almost every one of Montreal's picks this year. Great job by their scouting department.

    You bet!!!

I'm super happy with our draft, especially Gally AND Colberg (and i'm not even talking about our late part). Now we just need to develop them properly.

    Nice job!
