I missed a lot of the first two periods so I'm not sure but all indications are Emelin was being Emelin.

Somehow Beaulieu scratched tonight and Emelin still in.

I think this is it for Emelin. He'll be sitting for a few.

He should be sitting for a few. All three goals (not including the empty net) was because of his mistakes.

Shame, because the Habs outplayed Chicago. Shots were 42-24 for Montreal. Hits were 28-23. Takeaways were 9-3. Faceoffs were 40-25.

Crawford played excellent for Chicago, but the difference came down to Emelin's three mistakes.

Yeah, Emelin looks completely lost out there... he doesn't have the mobility or the vision to be caught out of position.
Could it be that Therrien's structure was a good fit for him?
The sample size with Claude Julien is getting more and more legit and Emelin is not getting any better.

I would definitely give more responsibilities to Davidson and see how he handles it.
I like the way he skates, he has a good stride.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

I think it's a combination of fatigue (more minutes) and averaging 3 hits per game. Style-wise he's a better fit on a 3rd pair anyway and on this team I consider him the 7th-best dman. Should be Beaulieu/Weber, Markov/Petry, Davidson/Benn.

Couple of big games this weekend. Three games against the Sens in the next eight days. Habs sweeping would go a long way to locking up the divisional title (same with the Sens).

The Habs applied Claude Julien's system to perfection.
The forecheck was hard and players were really supporting each other up and down the ice.
Under Michel Therrien, they already had the speed and the hustle, but Julien has brought more structure to that imo.

How special is Paul Byron!? Love the guy! I think he will be an important piece for the Habs come playoff time. He's not a 1st or 2nd liner but he will give you that spark every time he's on the ice!
