He started off hot, but has been cold the last dozen games or so. He used to be the sparkplug to get the team going, but now that the Habs have more guys that can do that, plus skilled guys stepping up, he's not relied on as much.

Gallagher is the #2 RW now do he doesn't get top priority. That means playing with Plekanec.

Sucks although this one is not nearly as impactful. I like Redmond and Barberio a lot. Both very underrated.

Totally. And with Beaulieu back, we're probably barely going to notice.

Ya, that injury could actually be a blessing in disguise. Not that Pateryn was bad (he was actually good), but Redmond may prove to be a solid 5-6th d-man if he gets some decent ice-time/opportunities.

Not much talk about Markov but he's currently 3rd among all dmen with 20 points.

Ironically I came here to talk about this lol

Dropped Markov recently after his production dried up following his blazing hot start. He showed signs of life again with 2 assists during the Habs' 10 goal explosion (Weber amazingly had 0 points that game) so I'm thinking of picking him back up.

Where do you realistically think Markov will end the year in points? My guess would be 45ish - in other words I think he will cool off considerably the rest of the year, but would be interested in your take.

Other comparable options on the wire include Parayko, Faulk, Schultz, Streit, Muzzin, Severson

Would you take Markov over all of the above?

Tough call. I had Markov as a sell high in my top 10 column today. I think it all depends on personal preference. If you think Faulk will bounce back, I'd go with him. Or if you think Shattenkirk will slow down and get injured, then Parayko could be your guy.

I think Markov regresses. So I'd go with Faulk.

Muzzin is in a bad spot right now but he's the only one that I can see string up more points than Markov for the ROS if he gets his act together. I would however grab Markov as the safer option as he should be able to give you at least another 25 points for the remainder of the season.

Don't see alto being said about Danault, but he's been putting up some points and getting more time.

How's he look? What's his usage like? Any real upside here? Saw he's a former first round pick.
