Very true, very true.... haha. but in theory a player can be protected some and made to look a little bit better than he actually is. But then again... scouts are good at their job and should be able to pick this out.

You would think in 2016 people could see through that but then again it's the NHL and most of the personnel is constantly in and out of a job...

Carr demoted to AHL, does not require waivers. It makes sense for him but that leaves just 12 forwards on the roster. Did they put in a claim for Paajarvi?

The Habs just play one game between now and next Wednesday. St. John's plays three games by then. One of which is their home opener. So maybe it's just to get him some extra playing time as he's played just two games so far this year. That way, they can recall him (or someone else) by Wednesday.

I prefer McIlrath in fantasy leagues than on the ice. Redmond > McIlrath TBH.
