Two good second round picks for Shaw seems like an overpayment to me...

Wait, you don't think he should lose his job anyways?

Ya think? 15 goal scorer here really going to cure the scoring woes in Montreal. Jesus. Now lets give him a $4.5+ million dollar contract and then regret that decision in less than one years time.

    I'm very happy.

I like the Sergachev pick a lot.
    Eller is gone, gone, gone.
    Subban is still a Hab.

As for Shaw, if the rumours are true and they can sign him up for a shade under 4, I'm ok with it.

I hate the Shaw/Eller swap. Especially if Shaw is to make more $ than Eller. You know who should have been traded before Eller and wasn't? Deshar-f*cking-nais.

Shaw couldn't produce like a top6 winger with Toews and Hossa on his side, and he will be payed like a top6 winger. We didn't need him. This is just another hurdle for Hudon to get quality ice-time.

    Bergevin is missing the boat.

I don't mind the Sergachev pick. He was clearly the BPA on most rankings. Would have loved Keller though.

I've disliked Eller since that infamous game in Colorado when Therrien called out Subban for losing the puck at the blue line.

Eller also blamed Subban in his post-game comments, which IMO showed poor team spirit and a lot of gall from a 30 point forward.

I'm not a huge fan of Bergevin, but he knows Shaw as well as anyone else and he knows, I would hope, what that locker room needs.

Eller is in Beau Bennett territory as far as I'm concerned.

The Habs did well. Bitten and Mete are 2 solid picks in 3rd and 4th round.

I like the Shaw and Eller trades. Shaw will bring something missing for the Habs: leadership, grit, intensity. He's a warrior and a playoff type of player. He could play on the 2nd W or 3rd line C.

Yeah the Habs really missed having a good playoff presence for those playoff games in April... oh wait.

Shaw, Danault and Carr get qualifying offers. Bournival, Lessio, Bennett, Ellis and Dietz did not get qualified. I'm a bit surprised but some of them might be brought back later.

Apparently Habs are in talks with Dale Weise. Who saw that coming? Top-six RW solved!
