I'm a big believer in Scherbak. I actually choosed to move Nick Ritchie over him in a multi-cat roto league because I think Scherbak is going to be a first line winger in Montreal.

He's got absolutely everything to produce next year. The 2014 draft had a very good crop of forward.

I like Scherbak too but not this much.

Yeah I know the general opinion on that. Just a feeling I have about both Ritchie and Scherbak.

Just an FYI as fallout to a recent trade... Jiri Sekac is a healthy scratch tonight for the Ducks. It's not the end of the world but worth noting that he's doing about as much as he was doing with the Habs.

I always liked the trade, and I guess in some way this makes it even nicer as you could argue the Habs improved while the Ducks did not really...

Not sure I would go as far as saying the Habs are improved now based on the results but at least it gives the team something different.

After a few games back in the top-six Parenteau looks alright. Not great, but decent. If he can chip in a few points while not screwing up too often he could be a decent fit there. I like the Habs lineup much more with Eller/DLR/DSP and Prust/Whoever/Weise as the bottom-six so someone has to step up as a top-six forward.

Was in Florida on vacation, and went to this game for my birthday. Lots of fun, but man, that third period was hard to watch in person. The shots in the third were something like 22-4, and I don't think the Panthers even had a shot in the last five minutes.

One fun thing to see in person is MaxPac. Easily the most noticeable guy on the ice, way more than PK (at least for this game). Every time Pacioretty is on the ice, he goes and gets the puck. He makes things happen. Fun to see him come on the ice and just watch him for his shift.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko

Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid

He basically won the captaincy already. I like that he stepped up in a lot of different ways. He's taken on a lot of PK duties and is getting a ton of praise for his defensive work too.

You just get the that feeling with Pacioretty, that if there's a five minutes left in a one goal game, you wish you could have him on the ice for that entire 5 minutes

FYI Pateryn looked a lot better yesterday. I don't know what's going on here. He gets called up constantly and is being put in the lineup with a longer leash than most young guys get under Therrien. I mean, Bournival fell back to the minors and the only thing he did wrong was not order the right food in the press box.

Back to Pateryn... there could be something here. Maybe he's just a temp filler to give others some rest but you would think that Weaver or Gonchar could rotate in and out and be fine for playoffs. Maybe they really do see him as a bottom-pair dman that will stick around... who knows? Career-high 16:19 in ice time yesterday...

Mario Tremblay pulled over for drinking and driving, compares officer to P.K. Subban.

According to the arresting officer, Tremblay also taunted him, comparing him to various NHL players, most notably P.K. Subban, saying that the officer was like Subban, in that he had no judgement and was stupid.
