Apparently, it's not Price's groin that is bothering him, but his knee.

While the Canadiens haven’t divulged exactly what Price’s injury is, listing him as day-to-day, here’s what Sports Illustrated’s Michael Farber said Thursday morning on CJAD Radio-800: “To the best of my knowledge it is a knee, it’s not a groin. And it’s nothing structural, so it’s good news. It is simply tendinitis and that requires rest and rehab, and that’s precisely what the Canadiens are doing.”

It's probably related to his injury from last spring.

I know... it looks fun on paper but it's still the Habs. They find ways to frustrate the viewer.

Yeah I know lol... And they will, but at least this way, I think it's a better fit. Plucky and Gionta are really struggling and Brière has all year so may as well stick them together and make them play defense. I think there's a real chance Vanek decides to snipe again with Desharnais passing.. and it keeps things together for PP1.

I also like the kegg line back together...(egg line sucks... but kegg - kids:eller, galchenyuk, gallagher) it has some potential from explosion, and I'll drink to that! (this is what working with a British guy for 3 years does to you.. puns... all puns...)

After tonight's game I officially stand by this statement. I would also add they find ways to frustrate AND confuse the viewer.

Apparently Price isn't travelling to Buffalo for the Sunday night game.

Therrien said it was a planned day off to make sure that even if something happens with Budaj that Price doesn't get into b2b games coming off the injury.

I'll be doing a weekend Habs recap tonight. Funny how momentum works. They score four goals in like five minutes and tonight vs Buffalo they're getting rewarded for just putting the puck on net.

    Weekend wrap-up

This was a weird set of games but at the same time so typical of this team. The inconsistent low-scoring Habs did much of the same except for a five-minute stretch where they looked like a 1980s team on offense.

Saturday: They started well but lacked the guts to do 5% more and make the plays count. Their defensive coverage was not very good which resulted in the 4-1 Sens lead. Then all hell broke loose. Pretty amazing how Subban looks when he's actually trying to create offense and not thinking about everything that could lead to him being benched. Price was not great but battled till the end. Sort of what I was expecting from him after all of that time off.

Sunday: The two goals were basically flukes but they were examples of being rewarded for going to the net. I found the Habs goofed around too much bringing themselves down to Buffalo's level which resulted in some unnecessary chances. Tokarski was excellent getting his first career shutout. He has the same issue as Reimer though. He makes the saves but he looks flawed in the crease (Tokarski due to size and positioning) which will have an effect on how teams view him regardless of numbers. He has talent but I'm not sure if he will ever be allowed to have a fair shot at the NHL.

Bournival and Tokarski have been sent to the minors.

Hopefully, it's only a conditioning stint for Bournival. In my opinion, he deserves a spot in the lineup or at least to be the 13th forward over Bourque.

I hope so too but politics will probably keep Bourque up with the team till this summer when something might finally be done.
