that's not a term you hear every day

I've heard rumblings that Jagr to the Habs is NOT happening...all unsubstantiated tweets so far but suggestive

So apparently Blake Geoffrion might not be retiring after all. He is at the Predators' development camp.

I think it's mostly because there's a ton of Christmas shows at the Bell Centre every year.

I hate that trip as well, especially since the Habs rarely fare well during that span.

I don't see why there would be more Christmas events in Montreal than in other cities. I get that it's a big city but it's not the only one.

Habs get dinged on this trip every year. It must suck having a losing streak and an angry spouse who has to do all of the holiday prep work alone.

I think there's more to this, given where the Habs go, most often Florida where you have so many Quebeckers/Habs fans during the winter. My feeling is there's some backroom dealing here where the Habs agree to this kind of travel schedule to boost attendance numbers for Florida and Tampa and they get some other perk in return. I could be totally wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's part of the equation.

Either way it still sucks for Montreal-based Habs fans!
