All quiet on the Markov front. Is this something that doesn't happen until September? Will Markov even re-sign in Montreal?

I think he does and wouldn't be surprised if it dragged out all summer. Typical free agent season. A bunch sign early and the rest play chicken until September.

If this is any indication of where he will sign:

I doubt he would have had the bridesmaids dressed up in Habs gear if something wasn't already in the works. After all, at the time of his wedding, he was officially an RFA. It's just weird though that's it's dragging this long!

That is an awesome wedding shot. It gets done. It's also a sign neither side is worried about it. Let management focus on bringing in other talent and sign this off at the end of the summer... whatever.

Some of those girls look photoshopped in though.....

Patches is captain, but Markov is captain.... Love that guy.

Lots of talk that Price will play less this year, but I don't believe it will be that much of an impact. The word is they want to limit Price to 60 games. That's only two less games than he played last season.

The same chatter happens with most starters almost every year. Waite has been there for years and it has not happened, when the race is tight the starter gets as many games as possible. Don't tell me, show me.

Remember when Streit used to play RW next to Saku Koivu?

I just find it amazing that the Habs scratch Beaulieu for one playoff game, and the writing is on the wall for the 24-year-old who had 28 points, so we have to trade him for a third rounder.

Meanwhile, the 39-year-old Streit was a healthy scratch throughout most of the playoffs despite Pittsburgh being decimated by injuries, had 27 points last year, so the Habs sign him to a one-year deal.

I'm thinking Markov eventually gets a one-year deal with bonuses with the AAV coming up to 6 million. Salary would be 4.5-5 million.

Streit will be too busy playing in the top-six (maybe try him out at C?) so the Habs still need D.

The only think I'll say in MB's defense here is the Beaulieu deal was influenced by the expansion draft.

They could have protected him and exposed Benn who wouldn't have been picked most likely (even if he was, who cares). How exactly was it influenced by the expansion draft?

Bergevin has no idea how to evaluate his players.

Will it come to letting the Habs fan base manage the team by consensus polls? I feel like we could do it.

Beaulieu parties and Benn doesn't party?

Bergevin doesn't get invited to the parties.
