Alffy wants to win a cup before he retires. Sens aren't winning it next season, alffy of all people would know that.

Sundin didn't waive his ntc because he didn't want to leave the leafs, and then left to Vancouver for money and a chance to win.

Leaf fans have every right to hate sundin, sens have no right to hate on alffy. He left the team the right way.

I agree. There's a lot we don't know. No way I say anything negative about him. He will be back....in an office capcity.

And he will still be loved by the fans. .....

No way did he leave the team the right way. You leave your team for a Cup if your team is absolute garbage, not if it's on the upswing and is a sure bet to make the playoffs.

Please don't tell us how to feel here.

Used to think that, now I don't think he will. Way more to the reason he left, than we will ever know. There has to be.

Would have taken Hemsky before, and still would. To me there's two gaping holes at RW in the Top 6. And a hole at LW in the top 6.

Benoit goes to Colorado. Regin to Islanders. Alfie to Detroit. Gonchar to Dallas. Latendresse and Lundin gone.

    Replacements - none needed.

Time for the young guys to improve on their success from the last 2 years. Sort of like my post from 2 weeks ago.

Lol grow up guys. Alffy did so much for Ottawa on and off the ice, and you're going to give him crap for wanting to win a cup before he retires?

Sens are definitely a playoff team but they aren't good enough to win the cup next year.

Clarkson would be nice for the Top 6 RW. Mentioned his name as my preferred target 2 weeks ago. Cooke too. Clutterbuck has already been moved.

He did it the wrong way. No worse way to do it actually IMO.
