    Nail-biting time continues...

I'm a big fan of whoever in Washington decided to test the fire alarms all day today in the Winnipeg Jets hotel. Too bad the Jets players won't be getting their pre-game nap; especially after playing last night.

You can never be too safe and alarms need to be tested regularly.

    That's a shame - what a coincidence.

That's weird. In Detroit the hot water in the visitors' showers has stopped working while they remodel the visitors' locker room...

I'm guessing you weren't a fan of Scotty Bowman having the visitors' bench shortened by four feet when he coached Detroit

I don't know, I don't mind small mind games, but this can directly affect the players' performances, and that's why it rubs me the wrong way. I know I sound like a homer, but professional athletes take naps each day for a reason. Eliminating that rest from players who played the day before is a dick move. The hotel is getting a lot of business from athletes staying there, and this nonsense is uncalled for. It's worse than the hot water thing or the short bench by a good margin, in my opinion.

If the Sens lose in overtime or a shootout, they play Boston, so that's another possibility.
