Not a terrible idea. I always wished he could stay healthy more.

ok, so when Spezza comes back next season, i assume hes lining up in the 1C spot with Alfie and MM. i doubt you change up L2 with the kids line (Conacher, Silf and Zib), so does that mean that Turris drops to L3 and pushing Smith to L4 duty?

IMO, I still see Turris and Alfredsson (if he's back) together and the team having 3 scoring lines and 1 grind-type line. Spread out the offense and be a threat to score almost every shift. Keep the puck in the other team's end.

Michalek-Spezza-(UFA or trade, my prediction is Briere)
    Greening-Turris-Alfredsson
    Conacher-Zibanejad-Silfverberg
    Condra-Smith-Neil

Pageau somewhere in there, Kassian extra, Hoffman maybe as well

    Regin, O'Brien, Latendresse not re-signed.

I don't see how they won't sign or trade for a guy with a decently high cap hit in order to hit the floor.

you also have Stefan Noesen, Mark Stone, Stephane Da Costa (don't think they like him though), maybe Shane Prince, Derek Grant knocking on the door. Team is loaded with depth without making moves outside of the organization which they will probably do at one point.

I think he'll rest along with Alfie when they clinch a spot. He's playing well over 20 minutes a game and is playing a role he can't really play. This will be good for him in the long-run though and he will be a great 2C for years.

Blayze, if you see this, Ottawa will finish ahead of Toronto. Book it.

Honestly though I don't care if they finish ahead of them or behind them, just poking some fun at blayze.

The Sens finishing 5th and Montreal finishing 4th would be a dream, as I think the Habs are not going to last long in the playoffs. The losses of Emelin and Diaz has killed them.

No problem facing Washington either. Bring it on.

    Anybody but the Bruins.
