maybe desperation was a little strong, but its not exactly easy street. i am as optomistic as the next sens fan, but it doesnt seem to me that the pucks are going to be filling the net anytime soon....especially with MM seemingly close to operation for a "twisted knee"
Just because the Sens are going to win about 6 more games this season, does not mean they are going to go into "desperation" mode and try and salvage a season that can not be salvaged. Bryan Murray has already said this a long time ago.

Would O'Reilly fit into the long-term plans, of course, because he is that type of player. Could a trade involving Zibanejad and a pick for O'Reilly be in the works, sure, but I doubt it. I have no way of knowing what the Sens project Zibanejad to be.

The Sens will probably do nothing. I'm just using Bryan Murray's words.

Have any of you Ottawa insiders heard any news on Michalek?
I read he was supposed to go for a second opinion earlier in the week, but have heard nothing thus far.
My gut is telling me he will require some sort of knee surgery and be ruled out for the year, but I'm just trying to gain some more information.
    Anyone hear anything?

I just read this this morning....

As the Sun reported Monday, Michalek is getting his knee checked out by doctors and could require a surgery that, hopefully, wouldn't keep him out long-term.

Michalek will be available next week sometime as long as his scheduled rehab goes as planned.

Need some input on Turris. I haven't watched much Sens games since he's been traded but his numbers seem to be getting better. What's his upside? With other highly touted prospects coming into the mix - do you see him as a top 6 lock?

    from twitter:

    Ian Mendes ‏@ian_mendes
Sens confirm that they've called up Robin Lehner and re-assigned Stephane Da Costa to Binghamton.
I guess it depends on how long Anderson is out for but Lehner could be worth a pickup depending on league setup.

most of the media guys post the practice lines on twitter. Sounds like O'Brien is in and Daugavins is out.
