Great record but man, what a dreadful offense...
Keeper's league, points only, 24 teams league Skaters: 1 pt for goal and 1 pt for assist, Goalie, 2 pts for win, + 2 pts for SO
28 th in Goals per game
28 th in PP %
I don't know when bad luck changes in a tendancy.

Not sure what that means. they have shot something like 4% over the last three weeks. That's luck. Brassard, Ryan, stone and karlsson will all see their goals increase very soon just based on averages.
We all know they can score, they were focusing on defence to start which clearly worked. It's not like they play a defensive system either.
It's literally impossible they will continue to not score goals.
I hope so...
I'm trying to turn their luck around...
Mike Hoffman is supposed to be a big part of my offense...

So does Bobby Ryan suck now?
Based on last year's stats he was ranked 101st overall (league that places more weight on goalscorers who shoot in volume and add peripheral value). This year he's been hot garbage and I'm thinking of dropping him but the only thing is i like his ice time.
I would love a completely unbiased opinion on whether he is actually playing well thus far and I should actually hold on to him and ride out this rough patch, or if he's not playing well and it would be better for me to cut bait now.
What do you guys think are the chances Andy starts consistently from here on out (other than B2B).
I plucked him off the wire when his previous owner dropped him when the team announced he was taking a personal leave indefinitely, but it seems like he's regained the lion's share of starts.
I'm debating whether to start him this week - they've got 3 games all spaced out with no B2Bs (first one on Tuesday and he played on Sunday). What's the likelihood he sees all three starts?
No I would not drop him. I own him in two leagues myself and I would have no problem getting rid of him if I thought he was drop worthy. He does not suck, he will just get 56 points or so as that has been his exact output (one season was on pace for) the last three season. That means he will be a 60 point pace forward from here on out. The good news is, he has usually slumped at the END of the seasons, so now it looks like our slumps are happening at the beginning which is great for fantasy if your team is going to contend regardless.
Every forward expect Turris has been snake bitten. It's just a whole team thing, and once one guy gets going, the others will follow. Brassard, Ryan, Hoffman, Stone are all buy lows. They are all getting shots and chances. Now is not the time to drop. These guys will all finish with their 55-60 points as usual, so the scoring is going to come in bunches.

Overrated for points, sure, but absolutely has not sucked. Especially in shots and hits leagues. he's still been a top, top line RW production wise in the league during his time in Ottawa.
he's a streaky player like any non superstar.
Ryan is overrated in fantasy leagues. Name still carries value but that is going away over these last few years. However, ne of my favourite quotes on these boards is this.
you also have to remember that Bobby Stevenson lacks character - BigEv, Nov 2009. Pre-Ottawa trade , of course.
I cut bait on Brassard. I watched their powerplay, looks like they haven’t practiced it at all. There’s no purpose behind their passes, it’s just like they wanna move it around and see what happens. They aren’t setting up any plays. The PP specialist Brassard held onto the puck way to long to get anything going; he just allowed the PK to set back up again. The PP just looks lost.
Outside of a SOG, Hits league, I don’t think Bobby Ryan doesnt have much left to give. The speed of the game seems to have surpassed him and he doesn’t have the room to get off a shot effectively. He is rosterable I think but borderline. Personally I wouldn’t draft him but if you did, I’d lump him in on a trade to get the trade done. Where you want his player, and he’s hesitant to do the trade so you add in Ryan.

depends what your league is. If a 56 point winger isn't rosterable, then the league must be very small or not separated into wingers/centres/ etc. Bobby is definitely a playmaker now though. He has made great plays that haven't been finished by teammates so far.
PP obviously won't be bad forever with the personnel they have. It looked very good in preseason, so they just have to work on it more. Not concerned at all, personally. Brassard has been very good as of late and his points will come.
zibby has almost double the points brassard has so far. rangers continue to find a way to get younger and better by winning trades, they just need to stop splurging on FAs.
