Don't love this. Such a good player. Nice fit for the hawks too as he is a natural center.

    Good News.

Toews is 100% past any concussion symptoms and the same goes for Monty.

Monty could still be traded at some point this off season, but if not, it's good to know he'll be back 100% for camp.

Chris Kuc gives a little blurb about all the Hawks picks this past weekend.

Overall a very good draft for the Hawks. Besides Teuvo, I personally love the Fournier and Whitney picks.

On a side note, Chris Calnan is nephew to Jeremy Roenick. Also, Calnan is very close friends with Kevin Hayes.

Blackhawks made offers to both Parise and Suter. They were close on Parise, not as much on Suter

I think they weren't as close as he makes it seem. It seems like when it came down to it, Parise wasn't even considering moving if he wasn't homeward bound.

Bowman addressing the media. Some tweets on what was communicated.

    Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc

#Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman: "We've talked to other players' agents over the last few days. We've been in on a lot of these things."

#Blackhawks VP/GM Bowman, on Parise: "We made a very impressive offer to Zach. It came down to a family decision. You have to respect that."

    Jesse Rogers ‏@ESPNChiHawks

Bowman: We made competitive offers to suter and parise: "Zach didnt grow up in Chicago"

    Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc

#Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman on losing out on Parise and Suter: "We're not stopping our pursuit (of free agents) because we didn't land them."

Part of Luongo's interview this morning on The Jeff O'Neil Show

On whether he'd go to Columbus or Chicago:

"I'd rather not talk specific right now. I mean, there's a lot of stuff going on … I've always said I like playing in Chicago.

No, seriously, would he play for Blackhawks?

"That's a good question. I think there's a lot of cities that are great to play in, and Chicago's definitely one of them. But you have to realize that it works both ways. There's not only me involved in this decisions. It's also a question if the Blackhawks would be interested, if the team would be interested in trading me there and it I wanted to go there."

I want this to happen!! It makes sense, yes I know the contract is crazy. It can work though.

Apparently, former Habs GM will now be a pro scout.

    Chris Kuc ‏@ChrisKuc

After spotting former Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier at #Blackhawks camp, now seeing @patrickcaisse confirming Gauthier will be pro scout.

He may be scouting "pro" hockey players, but he's far from a "pro" scout.

God I'm so glad that this guy is no longer in the Habs organization.

Former Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier has joined #Blackhawks as department as Director of Player Personnel.

Let's hope Bowman does not get fired anytime soon and replaced with this guy.

Gauthier was hired as their Director of Player Personnel.

This organization seems to be going downhill.

Hahaha. We're set for a while. Lots in the pipeline. As long as Gauthier does not somehow become our next GM - we're gonna be just fine .
