So Kreider has played in 6 NHL games and his contract has kicked in. I'm taking this as a good indication the Rangers have decided to keep him on their roster this year. Or am I mistaken? Did his playoff games last year count?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

His contract kicks in regardless of if he is playing in the NHL or AHL due to his age. The "burnign a year of their ELC contract" I believe only applies if they are under 20 as of Dec 31 of that season (or whatever the junior cutoff age/date is). So until his ELC is up he will have a 2 way contract that allows lots of movement between the NHL and AHL.

Kreider Richards and Cally are the 2nd line so it looks like it will be a 2 line game tonight

Nash still out. Del Zotto out. Staal most likely out. And Biron in net. This is not looking good for the Blue Shirts against the east's best (overachieving) Habs.
