Niemi? When is enough, enough?
I grabbed Niemi off waivers right after my draft thinking I scored big. The next day he signed with the Sharks. It worked out alright because I had Nitty and I was sitting there thinking that I had a pretty good situation having both SJ tenders.
Now, over a month into the season, Niemi has yeilded me a mere 18.6 points. Is it time to give up on the cup champ? Will patience reward me?
Guys on the free agency list include:
Couture, Bertuzzi, Stoll, MacDonald, Avery, Gionta, Voracek, Bergfors --- nobody really stands out to me. Goalies available are Gustavsson, Budaj, Boucher, Bernier and Giguere.
Is it worth dropping Niemi for a mediocre forward or one of these goalies or should I just hold tight?

It's funny... CHI and MTL let promising good goalies go, and everyone wondered why. Now maybe we know why. Of course SJS and STL saw something and they weren't dumb. But with your goalies, you seem solid for years. Not sure why you need Niemi, especially since he's no lock for #1 and has been playing poorly.

Drop Niemi and go get Gustavsson if you want a goalie
Funny I told a guy after the stanley cup to see high on Niemi - hes value would never be close to then.. He held onto him. Ouch!
If you want to run with Gustavsson, though he has a bright future(as long as the Leafs improve), for now be careful who u start him against.
