    1) Depends on what idea you had for a trade.

2 ) excellent long term keeper goalie.

So if your trading him you best get back equal long term value.

Goalies are hard to come by, he's a guy I'd wanna build with rather than build through.

I agree that he is a great long term keeper! I also agree that if the return is nice enough than you move him but I would want young quality players back!

Price is a keeper. I have always been a fan. He's so big in his net. Do not trade him..unless someone throw you a ridiculous offer.

I was thinking of offring Rask + EJ for him... is it a good offer or a ridiculus one?

I'd hang on to Price until you get an offer you can't refuse. You will know when it comes along......

He faced a lot of adversity in the last few years. Went from hero to goat to whipping boy to hero.....Montreal is a very tough place to play and he seems to be doing it! That says a lot about him.....

Unless you are trying to win this year and need that sure fire starting goalie I wouldn't offer this deal.

In the end Rask will be as good or better than Price and Erik Johnson is better than what you are seeing right now.....Both Rask and EJ are buy low players right now in my opinion. ....so if you aren't competing this year you would likely win this trade long term.

It seems like I have contradicted myself in these two posts.....But I think I would like to recieve Rask and EJ if I was a Price owner that wasn't competing this year.......on the other hand, if I am a Rask Owner and I am competing I might like to be on the recieving and of Price as well.....

I better watch the rest of the posts from this one.....hahahaha

That's exactly my situation! I could win it all this year, but Rask is really hurting me... and the Price owner could finish last, so this trade could help us both... Thanks for your answer!

Thanks for all your input; it really solidified in my mind Price's true value.

Now take the question to my specific team, I have Lundqvist, Price and Neuvirth right now.

Realistically I will only be able to keep one of them, now would you trade Price?!?!

It looks like you only start one goalie and can only keep one goalie....so I would say a goalie is expendable. If i had to pick two workhorses from your three I think I would pick Lundquist and Price.

    So I would trade Neuvirth.

I faced a similiar situation last week in one of my keeper leagues. My goalies were Hiller, Halak and Neuvirth. I put Neuvirth on the block with a note stating I needed some offense and I would be moving Neuvirth inside 3 days. Within 2 hours I had 4 GM's sending me offers and emails......

So I think its possible that Neuvirth will get you just as much as Price in a trade and you get to keep the guy that doesn't have a backup goalie breathing down his neck....I'll be it from the IR.....but he's still there.

    Thats my thoughts anyhoose.
    Good Luck.
