    Default Anderson's almost back...

Who should I drop? Right now I've got Neuvirth, Ward, Fleury, and Johnson. After Ward's past two games I don't have much confidence in him. Fleury and Johnson have been ok but having them split duty has been keeping my roster one shy of a forward. I was considering dropping all 3 when Anderson gets back and then pick up Bobrovsky and either Varlamov or a forward. What do you guys think?

By the way, I don't think Andy will be back before this weekend. It's possible he's not back until the middle of next week, not sure yet though.

I'd drop both Fleury and Johnson and pick up Bobrovsky and Anderson. Having Varlamov as a handcuff to Neuvirth would be safer, but Bobrovsky is looking more and more like the real deal.

Believe it or not, yes, I would do that. Rinne's never started more than 50 games before and the coaching staff's idea of having him started 65-70 games is going to be a spectacular failure. Plus, their team as a whole is a mess. OTOH, Philly has a crapton of talent, solid D and the only competition in net is Leighton, who a lot of people in town are not at all high on. BTW, put Andy on IR while you still can...

Thanks for the input guys! I think I'll drop Johnson but will mull over what to do about the rest. I realize I wasn't clear in the first post but Anderson is already on my team but he's just been in IR.

At this point I'm sure I want Neuvirth and Anderson but I'm not too sure about what to do with Ward and Fleury. I could drop one for Bobrovsky but that seems like overkill since I'll have Andy, Neuv, Ward/Fleury, and Bob.

My main concern right now isn't wins or saves since my guys seem to do well there but I need more SV% and GAA and I'm not too sure if 4 goalies would help with that. It would also be nice to go back to a 3 goalie rotation since I'm one forward shy in my roster but I often do well in the non-goalie stats.

I started him last night and he had an awesome game.

I want to start him tonight but I also have Neuvirth vs. Philly and Ward vs. Nashville.

Drop B. Johnson...Fleury's back to playing solid enough. Though, he has allowed a first- or second-shot goal in 9 of 27 starts dating to last postseason, which still irks me as a Pens fan.

As for Anderson, he's on my IR and I have Bobrovsky, Neuvirth, Halak, Rinne too...I need to figure out which goalie to trade or drop. Any thoughts?

It's always best to start a new thread on a question like this because it can get buried in the piggyback - it's sometimes considered bad form as well.

Anyway, how many do you start weekly in goal? When are your league playoffs?

Thanks for the suggestion...I just didn't want to make a repetitive thread, but I'll make a new one in the future.

    Our playoffs start Week 22: ROUND 1 (MAR 14 - 27), ROUND 2 (MAR 28 - APR 10)
We start 2 goalies a week.

I think the Caps have the weakest schedule for your playoffs in terms of games played and counting on Neuvirth to get lots of starts they only play 3 games in each of the 4 weeks and 3 of those weeks have B2B's - Neuvirth likely can go on the block for you. Anderson has the best playoff schedule for the finals for sure.
