It's possible to build solid teams. There are always about 10 GMs who just don't know how to play fantasy hockey

The team in my signature comes from a 20 team league and its been built through hard work, careful trading and a lot of luck

This is my D lineup in a 20 team points league (start 6 D):

Markov, Zidlicky, Babchuk, Gilbert, Niskanen and Taormina.

Ouch. Think I'm going to pick up Russell when he clears waivers and hopes he gets into the 20-30 range.

We just expanded by 4 teams to 20 and were able to protect 14 going into expansion.
We have about 16 GM's who follow it religiously and 4 who love hockey but dont look at there team everyday. The league started 3 years ago and I tanked the first year and made some great trades, but also made some dumb ones....like trading Stamkos/Goligoski/Voracek half way thru his rookie year for PKane. I attribute a lot of my team to this site and making some absolute great early waiver moves and then bundling them together for a star players.
I still havent won the championship and am in 2nd place now but, i know i'll be in it at the end, but Markov could have been the clincher !!

Exactly.....not everyone gets fantasy hockey and how to build a team, even though they know hockey.

Your team is absolutely awesome for a 20 teamer!! You would win our league barring injuries hands down.

    Angry

no room for Markov on my IR with Parise, Huselius and Doan clogging it up...
arg, this is so annoying ...still in first place though (barely)

the worst is that my weak spot continues to be goaltending (Luongo & Brodeur, go figure)
ran into the red hot Price this week
last week it was Hiller lighting it up

    just a lil venting...

so there is a glimmer of hope he might not have the surgery and end his season, sounds awful familiar to Gonchar in the playoffs when OV hit him and he was back playing with a brace in 2 games.......keeping fingers crossed

I would be laughing so hard if this is true. I have taken so much abuse over his injury with low ball offers. He is going to see a doctor on Tuesday
