Default Fleury pulled after 5 shots!

This is starting, if it's not already, to get ridiculous. He was pulled after letting up 2 goals on 5 shots, did anyone see them? Were they that weak? And I thought with the improved d this could be a great year for him.

I was listening to the game on Penguins radio.
Fleury is actually to the point where he seems to be alone on an island of badness.
Lange/Bourque were saying that after he was pulled he sat at the end of the bench in full mask (still on), glove & blocker (still on).

    Ouch. Mental problems... bad news.
I wonder what Goldie thinks of this.

    It's brutal.

I don't even know what to do with him now. Not even sure what I could get from him if I traded him either.

    This just in:

After hitting rock bottom Mark Andre Fleury has found shovels and dynamite and resumed digging.

Goalies are such a weird breed. I'll bet he's still sitting there with his mask on this very minute.

Hahaha, very good stuff man. I have to think Fleury will get his job back but it might be a matter of months, not weeks. He's had some major problems (positioning and rbd control) for a long time now and it's really getting exposed this year. He may have to change his whole style at this point.

And here I thought bringing in Martin and Michalek would help the D and MAF GAA...That was a wrong call. Going into tonight MAF and Rask combined for around -4 points for me on the year. Thank God I have Timmy T and Ward.

Watch highlights of the game. The first goal was iffy. It was both the D and MAF's fault. The second goal was just stupid though. Vrbata was going to the net and was tripped up. The puck slid off his stick and right between MAFs legs. There is no arguing there. It was plain awful. Which is why he was pulled and why he looked totally defeated.

When Vrbata was tripped up, MAF was going for the poke check and missed. That's at least 3 or 4 times he's missed the poke and gave up the goal.

I thought that the supposed D upgrade would help him too, but Martin has been horrible in his own end and Michalek just came back from missing 3 weeks, so he's shaking the rust off.

I didn't had the chance to watch many Pens games this year but MAF needs to get his groove back ASAP!! This guy is killing me right now!

I guess someone has gotta teach him the Nabby flop where he falls on his back. I know it saved Nabby plenty of times.

You guys do realize that in his career MAF has been:
SV % - top 5 once, other than that never in the top 20 and last year was 35th
GAA - top 10 once, other than that never in the top 20

The Pens have scored 3.06 and 3.15 goals/game in the past 2 years, and MAF (admittedly) had a good Stanley Cup run. I know he's still a developing goalie but man, could he be any more overrated?

I've always thought MAF was overrated - decent goalie on a really good team. Even during the cup run, save for his big save on Lidstrom at the end of the game, I thought he played pretty average.

    Can't believe this year though.
