    Default Interesting little goalie stat

I just wanted to share this. I was curious to see what Tim Thomas' shut-out percentage was as well as what it was compared to other active goalies out there these days.

Keep in mind this percentage is worked out over GP so the stats will be slightly off if the goalie came into games in relief, but over such a large sample size, it should affect most of these guys roughly the same.

    Rank Goalie GP SO SO%
    1 Martin Brodeur 1088 112 10.29%
    2 Roberto Luongo 619 51 8.24%
    3 Patrick Lalime 439 35 7.97%
    4 Mikka Kiprusoff 467 36 7.71%
    5 Marty Turco 519 40 7.71%
    6 Chris Mason 263 20 7.60%
    7 Tim Thomas 268 20 7.46%
    8 Henrik Lundqvist 346 25 7.23%
    9 Tomas Vokoun 583 40 6.86%
    10 JS Giguere 499 34 6.81%
    11 Chris osgood 737 50 6.78%
    12 Nikolai Khabibulin 704 42 5.97%
    13 Martin Biron 464 26 5.60%
    14 Jose Theodore 549 29 5.28%
    15 Dwayne Roloson 517 24 4.64%

    Patrick Lalime is actually 3rd?

I would have figured Lundy would be higher too.

Anyways, just thought I would share.
    Without me, it's only "aweso".

Just for the sake of comparison, here are the top 15 active career Sv% leaders:

    T. Thomas - .919
    Luongo - .918
    Lundqvist - .918
    Vokoun - .916
    Bryzgalov - .914
    Miller - .914
    Brodeur - .914
    Kiprusoff - .913
    Giguere - .913
    Mason - .913
    Turco - .911
    Biron - .910
    Roloson - .910
    Khabibulin - .908
    Theodore - .908

    Guys that made both lists:
    Brodeur
    Kipper
    Turco
    Mason
    Luongo
    Thomas
    Lundqvist
    Vokoun
    Giguere
    Khabibulin
    Biron
    Theodore
    Roloson

Luongo is the ONLY one to crack the top five in each list.

What did you use for a cut-off of games played?

    Rask - .928 in 52 games
    Howard - .922 in 77 games
    Hiller - .920 in 137 games
    Halak - .920 in 109 games

None of those guys made your list but they don't have as large of a sample selection as the guys you've shown

    I used this list:

    http://www.hockey-reference.com/lead...ct_active.html

They require 250 career GP to be eligible.
