    Default Rask Dropped, pick up?

    I just noticed this, an owner dropped rask to pick up thomas. I have Ward, Rinne, and Bernier right now, is it worth it to have a fourth goalie and drop a forward, or should i drop bernier and add rask. For league 1 by the way.

    Grab him. In a 10 team keeper, he at least has trade value even if you never start him. If either of your starters gets injured (or hits a terrible streak), Rask might be getting more starts than Bernier at that point. Or if Bernier begins wresting away the job from Quick, you'll have the luxury of trading him for a big return while keeping Rask as a very valuable G for the future.

    With 6 bench spots in your league, you have the room to float him for the weeks it may take for one of the other 9 teams to realize they need goaltending help. 33% goalie categories means good goaltending will always be at a premium, and Rask will at least be a good choice, though counting on him to be a fantasy #1 is a big risk right now.

    Great post above...absolutely grab him. A few things could happen here...Thomas could start to struggle, Thomas could be traded to help the B's with cap issues and provide a boost to their team in another area, plus Rask will be given starts...and if he gets hot..he will still get his chances.
