Waiver claim on Varlamov?

Should I use my waiver priority (#3) on Varlamov - then IR him and pick up whomever?

1. Go with the safe play and put in a claim?

2. See if he slips through waivers and grab him in the morning?

3. Don't pickup Varly and hope that Neurvith maintains his hold on the #1 slot / Varly stays hurt for a long period.

I assume we're talkin' the team in your sig. (I only assume that because the sig says 4D but shows only two, so I'm not sure how up to date it is.)

Anyway, assuming again that you have Neuvirth, I'd do that. I could see hanging on to high waiver priority if you had an obvious weakness that you might be able to fill if someone gives up on another injured player or an underachiever, but I don't see that obvious weakness in your sig. Might as well grab and stash Varly.

We have 4D slots but no requirement to have 4D - and we have no max games so some guys roll with 5D, most with 3 and me, I do whatever.

I changed my mind, go with it. Their tandem should prove you useful down the line either way.

I'd put in the claim. Varly and Neuvy are both talented goalies and with that high octane offense in front of them you'll be able to reap the benefits of all those wins.

I have Neuvirth in a 1 year H2H, Yardie. I would feel better if I had the handfcuff. I think this was a good move. It may not pay anything but you just bought insurance.
