    please?

80 pts on a bum knee, even more amazing.

    Teemu.
yeah dude, I would LOVE to see this...I mean, I'd love to see him play one more year for any team but for the Jets would be pretty damn cool and a great way to cap an amazing career. If only the Jets were a playoff team he would probably do it I suspect, but as his age you probably wanna win one more cup more no?

Never mind the sappy commercial (yes I tear up too) just watching him play last year made me tear up a little, he was just amazing and reminded everyone how dangerous he is with the puck...73 games, 80 pts, ****in a man, that was better than all but 7 players in the NHL last year! Teemu ****ing Selanne indeed, I love the guy

Selanne can still play but a lot of PP pts coming off Perry's puck control dominance. Perry was Anaheim's best player in regular & playoffs and its not close. Dont just go by stats.

    Quick update:
The links were in Finnish, but basically it says Selanne feels about 80% right now. Things are going well, but his knees can't handle fast sprints. Sounded like Murray was going to talk to him next week.

Either way, Out of all the games this year I am most excited that I'll see him return when Anaheim comes to town on Dec. 17. It would be DEVASTATING if he happened to be injured for that game.

That place will go NUTS the second he touches the ice, and he will get a standing O, there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever. There was a real connection between him and the fans, even though he only played there under 3 yrs. He made quite the first impression, and it was warranted - pure class, always had time for the fans and acknowledged them all the time.

    This guy gets it.

yeah that will definitely be a great game to be at, I'm sure he'll get an extensive standing O and be very appreciative of the love

He's not called the Finnish Flash because of his decision-making ability.

This sucks from a cap management stand-point for my keeper team! How much $$ do I need to keep back for Selanne - if he really wanted, he could probably say he wants $5 million. Last year he made $3.25 - I'm budgeting about the same. But if it ends up being much more, that could screw me right before the season starts.

Waaaaaaa (insert sound of baby crying).

But he's one of my all-time favourite (non Canuck) players, so whadaya going to do.

Yeah I think so too...but I always wonder why guys don't just state their intentions one way or the.other, it would certainly help their team plan for their future better!

Maybe he's thinking of signing in the Peg?

Simply put the Ducks internal budget doesn't allow Selanne to have a 5M contract unless someone like Blake is moved.
