5 points. Do I even need to say anymore?

The guy is one of the best of all-time, hands down - he is right up there with the Sakics, Yzermans and Bourques.

I am going to wear my vintage #13 Selanne Jets jersey today. It just feels right.

    TEEMU.

I love seeing this thread constantly revived. His season has truly been remarkable. I put him in a class with guys like Yzerman and Sakic where they're great and even the opposition can't find a reason to dislike them.

You have to love Teemu. He's sticking his tongue out at me.

In my one pool, a player needs 45 points to get waiver compensation (forwards). So, later last year, Teemu had about 30 points and needed 15 points over the final 15 games (something like that) to be eligible for compensation the following year. I bit the bullet and waived him, looking for a draft pick in return. If you can believe it, no one bid on him. You have to bid $2. One team didn't even have 3RW, and you need 3RW. I was not happy. I didn't get my draft pick. Anyway, Teemu finished red hot and got the 45 points, much to my dismay. (like this is the first time he's dismayed someone).

So, the draft comes. No one takes him. Then we do a winter draft (one player each, lose that player at the end of the year). He's snapped up quick! I wonder if someone drafts him this coming June!

I'll not let my decision affect the fact that he's AWESOME!

    GO TEEMU GO!

4-4 Dallas/Anaheim and guess who just scored with 3 minutes left in the 3rd? ---> TEEMU SELANNE. How many freakin' game tying goals is this man gonna score this year! Wow

Edit: Cancel this. I saw a 4-4 update on NHL.com with Selanne scoring, but it looks like the score just got changed back to 4-3. Anyone watching? Did Anaheim score a goal that was taken back or what's happening here?

Anaheim scored, Koivu got called for goaltender interference.. Fast forward Ryan scores, gets called back for hand pass. Some bad luck
Right call on both goals, but horrid officiating throughout the game just makes me cringe. eff that

If the Jets DID come back, him signing there for his last year would be so perfect....

Hockeyfights.com lists Selanne with just one prior fight -- Jan. 19, 1993 of his rookie year with Winnipeg against Chicago's Chris Chelios
