Yeah I saw that too - talk about toying with an old Jets fan's emotions! It would probably bring a tear to my eye if he did.

The Ducks do play a game in the Peg this season though, I'm sure the fans will make him feel welcome
His first game back there he got at least 2 standing O's - that DID bring a tear to my eye, seeing the footage on TV. I was at a few games in the old Winnipeg Arena his rookie season, and it really hit me square in the heart.

Was sure someone would've already said something about this, but oh well:

By next week, Selanne will know what he's going to do.

If you saw many ANA games, you could tell that he's showing signs of slowing down. Can still contribute but he should retire. Give a kid a shot.

Or maybe it was that 48 games in 90 days thing?

Won't be easier this year with the Olympics. Regular season, fly overseas, Olympic tourney, fly back and then continue with a regular season and playoffs. It's going to take its toll on some of the older guys.

Selanne played Saturday is something called the Fedorin Cup. Yet another clue that points to him playing.

Shouldn't of really been a surprise to anyone, but he's back for "1 more year".

Just curious, but what function do you figure "Shouldn't of" has in that sentence? It's completely nonsensical. Should not have. Shouldn't have. Not shouldn't of. Jesus that one annoys me to no end because it's complete nonsense.

There's a funny invention called ignore poster. I suggest you use it on everyone, as I will now on you. Sure, I used the incorrect wording, but you don't need to correct everyone at every turn.

the funniest part to me is that English is his second language and yet he's having to correct you for making shit up

Actually I think it is you who needs to go look it up. Slang is just an informal type of speech, often using colloquial expressions or idioms...for example, if I say "that's really cool" I'm not referring to the temperature. And while slang need not follow the basic laws of grammar, it often does, even if loosely. But your comment wasn't slang, it was just shitty grammar. Sorry if that puts your 'nose out of joint' (that's slang btw), but that's the reality.

You mean that shitty league where you take away 5 draft picks if a GM doesn't make a trade during the season? And then when the GM actually makes a token trade to satisfy the stupid ****ing rule you all throw hissy fits and cry foul? Good luck with that a$$hole

*checks to make sure he's in the right thread* Yep, its the Teemu thread...

I was 50/50 on the odds of him coming back - kind of mixed feelings about it. As much as I would hate to see Teemu retire, he's obviously really slowed down in the production department. I think Boudreau will give him a lot of days off, and that he plays maybe 60 games.

(Would love to be wrong and see him get 60 pts in 82 games!)

And no fighting in the Teemu freakin' Selanne thread. ffs
