I've won our league 2 years in a row regular season and won it for playoffs 08/09 & 2nd 09/10. I'm concerned with Vokoun so I'm looking to draft a replacement in our Supplemental Draft. Turco is tempting but 1-2 years is probably his shelf life and I'm a gambler, so Bernier is where I'm leaning for potential home run value in a season or 2. All these guys will be available for me as I've managed to load up on high picks over the past year (I pick 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th). Howard & Rinne intrigue me as well, so I've included them here to see where they would be ranked. Thanks in adavnce.

i like Bernier or Rinne here. Just read Ersberg is injured which means Bernier may have a shot at stepping up this year. LA looks good and Bernier is a future star. Rinne could be very valuable to you considering your scoring for SO. I firmly believe the W's will b there for him as well....despite the lack of overall offense in NSH. without directly comparing Rinne to Brodeur, the Devils were a defense first team for the longest time and Brodeur got Wins so why no Rinne too with NSH being a defensive oriented team.

Thanks guys, I'm going to repost this in the keeper thread as it seems to be seeing more traffic. BTW, In re-reading my initial statement of winning I realize it probably came across as bragging. It was meant to indicate my level of competitiveness within my league, my desire to stay on top as well as the recognition that I have some room for risk. Too much of a hurry to get it out before leaving for work may have left the wrong impression. I'll take more care in crafting my posts here on in.

Braggert! (just kidding)
I would personally go for Rinne and Bernier here. I am not as big a fan of Howard as many people are, and if he struggles like a few other sophomore goalies we know have struggled, there's a decent chance Detroit will replace him. So to me his starting job is slightly tentative, whereas Rinne and Bernier are seen by their organizations as franchise goaltenders. They will get more chances even if they struggle.

If I had to choose one in your situation I would be taking Rinne as I think he will have a great year and plays behind a very solid defence core. Bernier would be the long term home run but given that you are on top now why not stay there and go with Rinne.
This was helpful, I know I was looking away from Nashville because I'm not much of a fan and I try to acquire assets from teams I follow. However, the numbers & rationale are too great to ignore from Pekka for this season..I think I'll be picking Rinne, unless Bernier somehow unseats Quick before our draft. I'm too sentimental to drop Price, as he comes from my hometown and I've got an autographed picture of him on my "Games Room" wall..... I know, I know, not the stuff that wins championships but I guess I'm a fan 1st, pool competitor 2nd when it comes to him, lol. Again thank you guys for sharing your insights & opinions.
