Sharks need to find a way to loan Greiss and find him as much playing time as possible this season. They need to keep him in their future plans. It would be a terrible waste of talent if he is sent down and clears waivers.
Only the Rangers and Senators lack true depth right now. There's no place to play. Greiss got completely shafted by this deal. He's the one stuck without a job right now and AHL games won't really make him any better of a goalie ... but at least it would keep him playing.
Either way, he'll have to compromise. Play in the AHL with Stalock, get traded or loaned overseas.
Tough situation for sure. His Top-100 Ranking will slide because of it.
