    Default Which 5 keepers?

    G-A-(+/-)-PIM-PPP-GWG
    2C-2LW-2RW-3D-2G (Roto game limits)

    Keep 5 (cut 1)
    Getzlaf
    Tavares
    Semin
    Heatley
    Perry
    Halak

Max 1 goalie kept per team so if I don't keep a goalie only a max of 11 goalies will be kept. I pick 11th overall but a lot of goalies go the first round.

I am trying to trade Tavares for a swap of 1st round picks (a top 3 pick) but so far nobody is biting. If I make a trade happen, who do I keep?

I would drop Halak, worry about Goalies later.

But I think you have the right idea in attempting to make a trade before the draft for more picks.

Getz Taveras Semin Heatley and Perry. Great core.

Every one of these forwards is an offensive weapon... I would definately drop Halak. I'm not sold on this guy being a Stud #1 yet.

you would probably get some offers if you dangle halak out there for trade. More so than tavares.

i'd drop semin...taking too much to chance in drafting another goalie

semin bears the greatest risk due to the KHL

I'm in a 10-team league with 1 goalie max as well. I'd definitely be dropping Halak and going after a goalie in the first round.
Trading Halak will probably be hopeless because everyteam is either set in goal, or is looking to draft a goalie first round.

Maybe a Tavares+Semin dangle for an upgrade?

Drop Halak as he isn't a sure thing with the Blues. If 11 goalies are being kept that means there are at least 6 more worthwhile ones to be drafted. You should be able to get at least one good tender in the first round.

    Semin or Tavares for me...

Semin is a flight risk and will NEVER play a full season, but he is dynamic and will put up plenty of points in the games he does play.

Tavares is good but I'm not sold on him yet... He's an awkward skater and hurt his foot, so his training this offseason isn't like Stamkos with Roberts last year. Don't expect an explosion of points from him. I see him consistently between 60-70 points for 2-3 years. I also don't trust the Islanders, even though their talent pool is deep, it's not necessarily how deep it is but how you groom it and they're TERRIBLE at grooming talent...

I really like Halak, and while I can't say he'll absolutely be a beast, he's on a good team, with good management and even better scouts who know a thing or two... I think he's young and hungry, eager to prove his former club wrong as well as prove that he's not a one hit wonder... IMO he's a top 10 goalie as early as next year...

    Hope this helps!

I pick 11th overall. 6-8 teams of the 10 teams will take a goalie in the 1st round leaving me with the 18th-20th best goalie as my #1 goalie. I think I need to keep Halak. It just is tough dropping Tavares..

Tavares is my pick. He's solid... and we all expect that this year he will be in the 70s... but maybe the jump is only to the high 60s.

I think its key to keep Halak because that 11th pick IS actually so far out.
The 21st goalie is going to be a bigger drop than the 21st center.
Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Jason Spezza, Matt Duchene, David Krejci - all outside the top 25 in center scoring last season. 70pt+ guys.

I like you advice. You are right, the drop is huge. Rep for you. I'm looking to trade Tavares to a rebuilding team for a 1st round pick upgrade.
