    Default Rank these 5 goalies

Either include an explanation or don't. My feelings won't be hurt either way.

H2H league. Cats: Wins, GAA, Sv%, Shutouts....No points system. All categories are weighed equally.

    Ilya Bryzgalov
    Jimmy Howard
    Pekka Rinne
    Ryan Miller
    M.A. Fleury

You know what? While I have your attention, I would also like a ranking on these guys:

    Jon Quick
    Mikka Kiprusoff
    Antero Niittymaki
    Tomas Vokoun
    Craig Anderson

I'll assume keeper value, but emphasis on the short term.

    Ryan Miller
    Ilya Bryzgalov
    M.A. Fleury
    Pekka Rinne
    Jimmy Howard

Bottom three could be really close imo depending on what you felt your category needs were.

    Tomas Vokoun
    Antero Niittymaki
    Mikka Kiprusoff
    Craig Anderson
    Jon Quick

My bad, letnry. It's a 1 yr. league. Does that change your rankings at all?

    For next year:

    Ryan Miller
    Ilya Bryzgalov
    Pekka Rinne
M.A. Fleury - without weight for wins, he drops a lot
Jimmy Howard - not convinced yet, he may prove me wrong this year

    Craig Anderson
    Tomas Vokoun
Jon Quick - would be above Vokoun without Bernier knocking
Mikka Kiprusoff - the Flames are going to be terrible
Antero Niittymaki - too unproven so far - he could end up being the best or worst of the bunch.

It's tough to judge without knowing exact categories. But I will rank them based on my leagues categories (gaa, sv%, w, SO)

Ryan Miller - he's solid..team is good..I see a close repeat from last year.

M.A. Fleury - He's a great goalie. He's pretty inconsistent, but if he could get his act together...he'd be incredibly solid I think he would be worth the gamble.

Bryzgalov / Rinne - I think they're fairly a tie. I think Rinne has a bit more long term potential, and Bryz has shown in the past that he can post big numbers. Neither are on elite teams, but with their talent and solid performances they can give you a good # of wins.

Jimmy Howard - If he repeats last year, he could fight for second on this list. BUT, if he goes the way of Osgood, and just wins a bunch of games because of his team, his peripheral stats will hurt. I just don't know enough about him yet to place him higher.

Tomas Vokoun - Has killer stats, but rarely gets the wins because of his team. If he gets traded, he will be up in elite territory.

Craig Anderson - I don't think last year was a fluke. If the team in front of him can repeat, he'll be a great asset

Miika Kiprusoff - He makes the stellar saves, but misses a lot of easy ones. Because of that, his #'s aren't THAT great. Not to mention Calgary has lost some steam. He has the chance to be in the upper tier as well though. He's another gamble.

Jon Quick - Solid starter. If he repeats last year he'll be great, and with the Willie Mitchell signing his D just got better. Like Kipper...he could move up the rankings this year.

Nittymaki - Great situation. Streaky goalie. He is the opposite of Vokoun. He should pile up plenty of wins...but his peripherals could hurt you.

I can definitely see why Niittymaki could be placed low, tough to get a read on what this season holds. I see him as a high risk/high reward, but if you are looking for safe, he'd definitely get bumped down.

I agree with this list except I'd swap Howard and Fleury and I'd still put some more faith in Quick (this season). Although you can argue for both Vokoun and Anderson.

Ryan Miller - keeps on winning takes over Broudeur mantle of consistent wins
Pekka Rinne - best fundamentals and solid team will keep them in the game
Craig Anderson - young team just gets better, Anderson rock solid
Jimmy Howard yes he is the real deal
Ilya Bryzgalov drops a bit in some stats
Jon Quick big controversey but his to lose number 1 spot
Tomas Vokoun - will do fine and even better once traded to contender by February.
Mikka Kiprusoff - been dropping last two years, unclear team is any better so repeat 2009
M.A. Fleury never been a fan, too injured and loses the games he should be closing out
Antero Niittymaki - huge unknown, but team should get him 25 wins minimum, he needs to step up and do the other 10-15.

I've noticed nobody likes Kipper much... I don't get it though, you realize if he repeats 2009 that would be a 2.31/.920 season? That's flat out elite. Even though he won only 35 games last year his stats were hugely improved. I'm not saying he does it again but it's weird that people are pretending last year didn't happen.
