He'll be Dallas' #1 next season, and he'll be very good, until he gets injured. I hope he doesn't, but I'll be realistic for now. I expect 50 starts, 25-30 wins.

LOL - shut up Pete!! This is the year - for sure - no doubt about it - no Lehtonen injuries. The Shoeless Prophecies - and for just $14.95 you can get the Field Guide to the Shoeless Prophecies for the 2010-11 season.

I just gotta think that dallas new about his conditioning problems and injury problems going into this contract he sign... They must have something in there saying that he has to pick up his condition and everything to help prevent injuries... Dallas isnt a stupid organization and they are on the cusp of making the play off next season all they need is a number one goalie and I really think lehts can do it...I think crow will be smart and not over work in to so it will prevent injuries... i think this will be the year that he shows us that when atlanta made there run a few years ago wasnt just an anomaly

I never really thought of that. I dont mean to dis ATLs training staff here- but as an organization it seems to me there learing as they go and have already made a few gaffes that start right at the top. Having been drafted there Im not sure how well Lehtonen may have been handled as its clear today that he's the type of player that probably needed a bit of extra attention.

The Dallas system is loaded with great hockey people- with a tradition of success and armed with the knowledge of what it takes to succeed on the ice. They have both drafted and developed some great off the radar gems that have turned into very successful NHLers. Guys like Erickson, Neal and Benn come to mind in recent years. As an organization they may be better equipped to acknowledge and counteract Karis conditioning and consistency issues.

Not a sure thing by any means but a very intriguing discussion point none the less- thanks KoHolga!

PS- For the record- you guessed it- I sniped Kari off waivers for my 3 spot
