Default Need Help Drafting a Goalie

It's my second/third round pick (consecutive), and I need to draft a goalie. This is for a keeper H2H points league. Which goalie would you take?

    Nabokov
    Brodeur
    Kipper
    S. Mason
    Anderson
    Halak
    Howard
    Backstrom

My gut says Nabokov. What do you think?

Depends on lots of things - exact points structure - size of league - size of rosters - who has been drafted already - how many goalies have already gone and so forth.

I would have a mild concern about picking Nabbie based on the uncertainty of his future and his age actually - although likely a good pick regardless - I would want to also look seriously at Halak, Howard and Mason in a keeper.

with one goalie you need someone who is guaranteed to start a lot of games, so nabokov, brodeur or kipper. can't go wrong with any of them but my gut also says nabokov.

I'd easily take Kipper over Nabokov and Brodeur. Signed long-term so no need to worry about his future like with Nabby and is younger than Brodeur. Plays a lot, faces a tons of shots and with Calgary's good D he won't give up a lot of goals. Good for 30+ wins every year. Kipper is the most safe choice and also the best choice. Take him.

have to agree with the others
1 goalie , weekly starts means find a 60+ gp starter

while some of those guys are older , they are more of a sure thing than some of the young guys

forgot to look at this before I made my final decision, lol

I ended up taking Nabokov. To me, him and Kipper are very similiar, but I don't really know where the Flames are headed, they don't have a ton of prospects coming up that will turn them around. Nabokov was mainly a gut pick, I think he will be even better next year because of a great playoff run this year. Also, Kipper being ranked so low on Dobber's list scared me a little, not sure why he's so low.

    Thanks for the opinions

Assuming Nabokov will be a shark next year...
