BEAST TRACKER UPDATED THRU ALL SATURDAY GAMES

Varlamov added to the Tracker as well. Eerily similar to last year.

This has been the best start of a Quarterfinals playoff series that I can ever remember.

It was basically Anderson and the Kazakhstan national team vs San Jose Sharks last night, and Anderson pulled up his socks and got the job done. All the credit in the world to him, he made a brilliant performance worthy of accolades and to be placed in memory as one of the best post-season performances by a goalie in the NHL.

The rest of the Avs had better reward him something fierce because they had no business playing on the same ice as him last night. Absolutely no business.

I was so blown I just couldn't find the focus to update Beast Tracker. I am doing that now.

I just sent in School of Block for this week. Please read it. Inspired partially of course by Anderson's game last night.

I can't even call that a game. That was a masterful piece of art.

I am covering Game 4 of the Avs / Sharks series and I finally got to meet Kevin Weekes!!!!!!!

Is there seriously a nicer guy in the media right now???

He was kind enough to literally sit there and talk to me about goaltending for like 5 minutes in the broadcast booth. All I could think about was how huge he was compared to me hahahha and how I wanted to ask him like a million questions but all I could do was ask him about goalie skates and his pads LOL.

BEAST TRACKER UPDATED THRU WEDNESDAY'S GAMES.

TUUKKA RASK UNBEATEN IN THE THIRD PERIOD!!!

    http://www.thegoalieguild.com/?page_id=3535

Also notice how Miller wears down each period, while Rask steps up.

    So friggin' interesting.

Roberto Luongo has been fighting the puck ALL YEAR LONG and he's not stepping up his game in the playoffs.

BEAST TRACKER UPDATED THRU THURSDAY'S GAMES!

    http://www.thegoalieguild.com/?page_id=3535

Brian Boucher only allowed 2 PP goals the entire series on 40 shots.

    Brodeur allowed 8 on 40.

There's your difference right there. Plus Boucher was perfect while down by a goal. Kept his team in every game they were trailing. What a story!!!! First he trumps Lundqvist in a shootout to make the playoffs and then he sends Brodeur packing.

    UPDATED THROUGH SATURDAY'S GAMES

    http://www.thegoalieguild.com/?page_id=3535

    HAIL ANDERSON! He was sensational.

But the first goal he allowed last night was brutal. He can't play more than 65 games last year. Weiman should play the rest.

    UPDATED THROUGH SUNDAY'S GAMES:

    http://www.thegoalieguild.com/?page_id=3535

Both Quick and Anderson had very similar situations in the first round. I discussed it in School of Block, which should be up shortly. Sneak preview on TheGoalieGuild.

Enjoy everyone!!! I hate that I have to pull myself away from being active in the forums this week, but it's only for a week!! HAIL!

Of course the beast tracker will still be updated every night. It's just a part of my life this time of year now LOL.
