I think we'll see another 60/40 platoon depending on what happens in the playoffs. If Huet holds his own I think he'll be back, but on a tight leash. If he struggles I think CHI will buy him out and pick up an affordable replacement with Niemi as their capable backup.
Ellis is the kind of affordable fringe-starter I could see the team pursuing or one of MTL's goaltenders. Depending on salary Halak would be fantastic in CHI.

Up until 2 months ago I would have said Neimi for sure.
I am not really sold on him anymore.
Although he did have a shutout the other night.
Let's face it, 70 percent of the goalies in the NHL are average.
There are not many Broduers, Millers on alot of teams roster.
I think Huet is as good as any average goalie out there.
Who is better? Someone above mentioned Mason? He is the same as Huet.
A decent goalie but a B goalie also.
What is the difference? except Mason has less salary.
I think if they can't move him this summer they start the year next year with the same two as now then they will cut him loose in Oct. blaming him for something so they can get rid of him.
Then use Neimi and bring up Crawford to back him up.
