What do I do with this guy?

Two years I have held on to this guy and I am getting zero return.

Nobody wants him in my league

Should I realease him or hold.

there is not much to choose from.

He signed a 1 yr deal so there is hope for next season. But not likely. I would drop him as he just never got a fair shot. Virtually zero chance in Minny.

If you had to choose between Harding and Niittymaki I would choose Niitty. Harding really hasn't shown much of anything in my mind -- numerous subpar performances even on a defensive Wild team.

Niitty is no sure bet either, but with his hip surgery, there is at least a pretty good chance he could stay healthy and start posting some good numbers. He was the MVP of the 2006 Olympic Games for a reason. He has oodles of talent.

Dump him - bet he is still on FA in a few months time. Niity might be a lucky pickup. Auld will always be a backup without an injury in front of him even though he should do very good numbers in the starts he does get.

He had excellent numbers last year, but offense wasn't there when he needed it to get the wins. Still if nobody wants him, might as well dump him for Niitty. Maybe if you have room to get him a little before the trade deadline if you can. I think he's quite good, but he'll never get a chance in Minnesota. Keep in mind he's still young for a goalie to become a bonafide starter too, so it's not like all hope is lost.

I have a mental block when it comes to dropping this guy.

I think he is very good and with the right team he could be a starter.
I am not really clear on why he resigned in Minnesota.

Is he a UFA next year? If so he might be worth a keep.

I just landed Backsrtom on one of the teams, I have Harding so there is no point in dumping him now.
    Not with dailey lineup changes.

The other team is still a few years away so if I drop him and pick up one of the others mentioned it won't do much good anyway.

I am just losing patience with the waiting.

Read School of Block "Rhythm Killers" that was posted yesterday. It's all the proof you need to drop Harding. It can't be that difficult.

    I did read it.

All it tells me is that he is not getting a fair shot.
With that he has lost confidence.

    Can he get it back?
Will he get moved or should I cut him loose?
