Crawford or Niemi?
Which one steals Huets job?
Does Crawford have a one-way deal? Everyone seems to have given him the back-up job already. Is this because he played in the playoffs?
I'm not sold on either. Crawford looks more stable, but Niemi is older and supposedly more NHL ready. The more I look at it, the more confusing it is.
Both getting, roughly the same $. Niemi is in a contract year, and may have something to prove.

Niemi is the least NHL ready because he is still a bit awkward with his positioning on smaller rinks.
I'd put it at about 65-35 in Crawford's favor to become the backup this year. I doubt either of Crawford or Niemi steals the starter spot for at least two years.

Cristobal Huet will have a solid outind this year and next. I see him sharing duties 80/20 with Corey Crawford.
