My starting lineup

[Alex McDonald, Age 11]

I'm in a league where you can only make roster moves at the all-star break, or if a guy gets injured (but if you take him out due to injury, you can't use him again for the rest of the year).

So I'm trying to choose which three guys to start the year with. My choices are:

Niklas Backstrom
Marty Turco
Chris Osgood
Semyon Varlamov
Ray Emery
Chris Mason
Nikolai Khabibulin

The categories we count are Wins, GAA, and Save Percentage (and goalie points count towards our skater totals, too). We also count playoff stats, but I don't know how relevant that may be.

Semyon Varlamov ( WSH will make it to at lease the 2nd round maybe 3rd?)
Ray Emery (Philly will make it to at lease the 2nd round maybe 3rd?)

and your gamble with
Marty Turco (will bounce back and Dallas will make the playoffs)
or
Chris Osgood (injury risk but DET always makes it to the quarter finals)

Niklas Backstrom is a great tender but without the defensive system he will suffer abit, and he's also injury prone not to mention Harding trying hard to take his spot.

Chris Mason - gets most of the starts probably wouldn't make the playoffs if they do 1st round showing only.

Nikolai Khabibulin - battling for the last playoff spot. another year older...

Varlamov does not have the starting job at this point, you should probably stay away in this type of league

Khabibulin - I would stay away from any goalie starting for Edmonton this year

My fav would be Backstrom even though I expect him to have a worse year than last and my risky pick is Emery....he did pretty well outside the NHL and he's with a pretty good team (albiet one with a few injury risk players)
