Top five goalies given your scoring system I think would be as follows:
Nabokov
Luongo
Brodeur
Lundqvist
Price/Mason/Fleury/Ward
The fifth is a toss up sorry.
Over the years my goalie selection skills have been suspect. For that reason I am asking for a bit of help so I can begin my keeper franchise with confidence in goal. The points system for goalers in my league is simple, 2pts for a win and 2pts for a shutout. Based on that what NHL goalies would be in your top 5 in 09/10?
Thanks
(May notice similar thread in other forum -sorry but new to the site and did not see the goalie forum, wont happen again!)

2. Lundqvist
3. Brodeur
4. Nabokov
5. Kiprusoff
6. Backstrom
7. Fleury
8. Ward

10. Mason
* Had to edit this - slap me - didn't notice he was in a keeper league. Replaced Ozzie with Backstrom
Interesting. 2 for a SO.
Under that criteria, Kipprusoff will fly under the radar a bit.
Keeper Value League. Some guys like Osgood do NOT belong there.

I'm the best! Dutch is the Worst.
Osgood, really?? What about Trco with a healthy Dallas team and Auld pushing him to be better??
Zorro says "vote for Dobber"
Angus is my best friend at dobberhockey..
As a Backstrom owner this hurts. A lot. Last year 39 W and 8 SO = 90 pts on 2 for a W and 2 more for a SO.
Anyway, back to the question: it's a keeper league and you're asking for the top five for this season?
Long or short, I'd say watch for Lundqvist's likely SO numbers (low, 10 two years ago arguably freakish), Kipper's very solid numbers (in your format) despite all the hate on him, Ward's solid numbers. Who knows? Thomas could even be a cheeky (cheap) pick. You have to be on your toes in the inaugural draft of a keeper league (how many are you keeping of your 16 guys, anyway?). Maybe everyone is thinking keeper and you go for the win right away. Just a thougth.
I believe we are keeping any 7 of our players. I totally agree with having to be on your toes with the upcoming draft. I have spent much time trying to decide what type of strategy I will use during the draft and have finally realized that it all depends on what the other guys in the pool do on draft day. That is why I had asked for the upcoming year's predictions instead of long term. With the group of guys in my pool I am thinking that it will be either one extreme or the other (drafting young keepers or drafting as if it were a 1 year pool). I felt pretty comfortable with who are the up and comers so figured I would ask peoples opinions about this year in case I decide to g for it all right off the bat. Great point!
Thanks everyone
