Plyometrics and core muscle development...this is the future of pro goalie training today.
I also wanted to clarify my line "Giguere's style is out-dated."
I don't mean that in such a negative way. He is obviously one of the better goalies in the league, but I feel that his style is not as well-suited for the game in 2010 as Hiller's will be.
Giguere's rebound control is one of the best you'll find compared to the rest of the league, but I have noticed that it has still slightly declined over the last two years. Especially when you are THAT good at it, just a little decline in control will be very noticeable.
So the point I was making by that line is that compared to Hiller, he's a little out-dated. To the rest of the league, he's still obviously capable of being one of the best in the game.
Actually, I'm Dakkster Back in the day when I registered on this site, I didn't want the other guys in my pool to know it was me here, if they were to find this site, so I went with an alternate nickname, sentium
