I will be starting a new keeper pool. I\'ve been thinking about it for a while and decided to go ahead with it. I would like 12 - 14 managers, I have myself plus 2 others if it\'s free and myself plus one other if it\'s for money (likely $50).
Rules
25 man pro roster (4C, 4RW, 4LW, 6D, 2G, 5Bench, 2 IR)
10 man farm roster (Any position)
Players on farm roster must be 24 years or younger and have played less than 100 games.
Players must also either be drafted or signed by an NHL team.
Inaugural
2 Drafts
Both drafts will snake e.g. 1 to 12, 12 to 1
1. 25 Rounds (hopefully live)
Random order
Draft for pro roster
Anyone available
2. 10 Rounds (likely through a forum)
Drafted in reverse order of Pro draft
Draft for farm roster
MUST qualify for farm
Off-Season draft
Will be be reverse order of the previous season\'s finish e.g. last place drafts 1st. The draft will not snake, therefore last place will draft 1st in each round.
7 rounds to fill out both farm and pro rosters
Do not need to use all of your picks, can pass
Picks are can be traded up to 3 years in advance
Trades
No minimum or maximum
Anything can be traded (picks 3 years in advance)
If a trade puts your roster over the maximum it is your responsibility to ensure it is within the maximum roster size, if this is not done you will lose any points accrued while it is above the maximum. This goes for both the Pro and Farm rosters.
Trade Veto
Trades will only be reviewed if there is a complaint within 48 hours of the trade being made.
Trades will be reviewed by the commissioner unless the commissioner is involved in the deal. Otherwise the trade will be reviewed by 1 of 2 co-commissioners.
Trades will only be vetoed if there is evidence of or a strong suspicion of collusion or dumping
Free Agents/Waivers
There is no minimum or maximum to the amount of free agent / waiver moves you can make.
Players under the age of 23 can not be claimed off free agency or waivers.
Players not available on the website can not be added to either roster mid-season. (seems obvious, mainly for farm rosters)
Farm Roster Movement
Players on Farm Roster can be called up to Pro Roster as long as there is room on the roster. If there is no room on the Pro Roster a player from the Pro Roster must either be dropped or moved to the Farm Roster (if he qualifies).
If a player is traded he will go to the receiving teams respective roster unless otherwise indicated by the receiving GM. Therefore a traded Farm Roster player will go to the other owners Farm Roster.
Players pn the Far Roster will be on the corresponding owners team on the website. It is the owners responsibility to ensure that they do not use those players on their Pro Roster without formally calling them up and ensuring their rosters are the right size.
Penalties
Penalties for over-sized rosters or using Farm Roster players without first calling them up will be the loss of points accrued while the offense occurred as well as the loss of a draft pick for each offense.
1st offense - 7th Round pick
2nd offense - 6th Round pick added to previous penalty
3rd Offense - 5th Round pick added to previous penalties
4th Offense - 4th Round pick added to previous penalties
5th Offense - 3rd Round pick added to previous penalties
6th Offense - 2nd Round pick added to previous penalties
7th Offense - 1st Round pick added to previous penalties
After 7 offenses you have lost all your picks
An 8th offense in one year will be grounds for expulsion
Collusion or Dumping
Loss of assets acquired in the trade plus loss of all picks for upcoming draft plus possible loss of top skater and top goalie.
sorry I should have put this in above. please e-mail me at [email protected] with your name and if you\'re bringing someone along please include their e-mail address. Also include whether or not you want it to be a free pool or a money pool.
Ok we\'re scrapping the Windsor requirement, it\'s first come first serve. I\'d like to do this for money. We have 5 managers for a money pool 6 for a free pool, let me know if you\'re interested. I\'d like to get 12 - 14 managers.
I would love to do it DL but being old and on my last legs I just not sure I could see the end of the league. I stick to the 1 year leagues and make sure to set my roster changes to the end of the season right up front - just in case.
Besides I have decided to get a new set of drag pipes for my bike and that will take up way to much of my old age pension to allow me an entry fee into a money league.
