Wow. Charlie McAvoy had a procedure called "ablation" at Mass General to address an abnormal heart rhythm called SVT. He is expected to be out two weeks. Had heart palpitations after a game in November & had been monitored since

Hopefully the procedure puts this behind him and he goes on to have a great career. I'd assume it's not that serious since they cleared him and he continued to play heavy minutes since it was originally diagnosed. The procedure apparently went well so that's good news.

Charlie McAvoy is out for tonight, but hasn’t been ruled out for Saturday vs Toronto. He’s been totally cleared medically. Great news
