    Default The Kase of ONDREJ

What to make of this kid?
No question he has always had the skills but under the Radar drafted in 7th rd.
Having a solid season and has been hot of late.
Still playing on 3rd line and not too much PP time really yet.
Is this a breakout we're seeing? Where do u see him down the road?
Should net himself a decent contract year end if he keeps it up. 3M + ?

He looked great in the playoffs last year. Impressed me to the point that I grabbed him in a few leagues over the summer. In cap leagues, he should continue to be a bargain for a few years, but I don't expect him to lock down a top line spot, partially because he will have the lesser contract. He seems to play well up and down the lineup, and has a bit of a scoring touch. Seeing him put everything together for a 50+ point season over the next year or two would not surprise me at all.

Another assist last night. That's 7 points in the last 5 games after missing 3 games with the flu.

I picked him up in my dynasty league late December as a stop-gap while I have Krieder and Atkinson on IR but he's convincing me to find a spot to keep him through next year. I'm worried the Ducks may make a deadline trade and Kase gets pushed down the lineup but he's impressing me lately.

i was curious to see what he looks like when compared to Guentzel who im very tempted to drop right now...

GP G A PTS +/- PIM PPG PPA
    JG 2017-18 Regular Season 49 14 10 24 -15 30 6 3
    OK 2017-18 Regular Season 32 12 10 22 12 6 0 1

points are almost identical with Kase playing 17 less games, +/- is almost doubled, however the PIMS and PPP goes to Guentzel.

making a case for me though

Keep in mind Kase did most of that playing in bottom six too.
Any predictions on his contract next year if he continues like this?
    I say 2.5m.
