Benn for Backstrom and 2nd: will rep

I'm in a 12 team H2H league where we can only keep 2. I'm currently sitting in first and would like to win the regular season. G, A, +-, PIM, GWG

My lineup looks like: Seguin, Benn, Gaudreau, Schenn, Ehlers, Boeser, Stone, Tyler Johnson
Carlson, Gostisbehere, Provolov (Shea Weber-IR)

Someone has offered Backstrom and his 2nd for Benn and my 15th. I plan on keeping Gaudreau and Seguin as I can only keep 2.

No, I wouldn't make this move... you are in 1st place... you want to win this year.

This move is one that is looking towards next year. Too many fantasy managers make moves that look too much to the future and it hurts them in the present.

I would keep Benn for playoffs and then look at moving him in the off season. move him for a 2nd round pick in the off season and you are further ahead than accepting this trade.

I think it depends on your league and your lead. If you have an insurmountable lead at this stage then I'd make the move. Eat your cake (winning) and have it (set up for next season) too.

If you're in a tight race then given how the season has gone I'd hold benn.

Some leagues dont allow off season trading so this could factor in as well.
